The Global Athlete Basketball Showcase (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website (the “Site”), register for events, or participate in the Showcase. By using our Site or services, you consent to these practices.
Personal Information You Provide:
Registration Data: Name, email, phone, height/weight/position, date of birth, nationality, high school/post-grad status, academics (GPA, graduation year), coach references, and contact details.
Media: Profile photo, YouTube links to highlight/full game film.
Payment Info: Processed securely via third-party provider (we do not store card details).
Other: Communications, waiver signatures, and event feedback.
Automatically Collected:
IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited, and usage data via cookies/analytics.
From Third Parties:
Coach verification details or sponsor inquiries.
Process registrations, verify profiles, and confirm roster spots.
Create coach evaluation packets (bio, measurables, film links).
Share with verified coaches (NCAA/NAIA/JUCO/prep) for recruiting.
Communicate event details, updates, and marketing (opt-out available).
Improve services, analyze participation, and ensure safety/compliance.
Promotional use of your image/likeness/performance (media release required).
With Coaches: Pre-event packets for approved participants only.
Service Providers: Payment processors, email services, hosting (bound by confidentiality).
Legal Requirements: As required by law, NCAA rules, or to protect rights/safety.
Business Transfers: In event of merger/acquisitio.
No Selling: We do not sell your data to marketers.
Our Site is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. For minors (13-17), parents/guardians must approve registration. Contact us to review/delete child data.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption, access controls). However, no system is 100% secure. You provide info at your own risk.
Registration/event data: Retained as needed for recruiting follow-up (up to 2 years post-event).
Marketing: Until unsubscribe.
Legal: As required by law.

Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from emails; withdraw media consent (may limit participation).
